cannot do too much, you know...

the last 2 weekends were spent helping out 2 friends with their weddings. chalk up 2 more for the list.

these were really tiring weekends because we had to wake up at 5am - having slept only at 3am for 1 of them - and be out the door by around 6am. then there was the usual travelling around singapore, rushing from 1 home to another. trust me, it was tiring stuff.

the sunday that past was really a tough one. the journey started from yio chu kang to jurong. then it was back to yio chu kang, with a stopover at pierce reservoir for a photo shoot. from yio chu kang, it was off to sengkang and then back to jurong. take note that the couple wanted something memorable so they managed to loan a vintage car from a family friend. vintage reads 1948. it was a hillman minx and supposedly the only 1 in singapore. it was vintage and how?
travelling at not more than 30mph (about 50km/h)
wipers were manual, read, hand operated!
the roof was leaking.
radiator water had to be topped up after every leg of the journey.
there were no brake lights.
signal indicators were non-existant
doors cannot be locked
no air-con (1948! duh?!)
no power windows (double duh??!?!)

but it turned heads everywhere it went.
I wonder if 30 years later, would my child ask for a classic to be the bridal car and (s)he will end up choosing a mini cooper s?
you never know...
