critically yours

sometimes, i feel that i am being over-critical of people. its like, i'm this fussy old man that cannot stand people behaving in manners that do not suit me. what is it about me anyway? am i becoming this really bitter person? sigh...

should i even be complaining about a close friend who needs to always move around with the spouse? i mean, whats wrong with that, being loving? i mean whats the matter with bring your spouse to a gathering of friends? whats wrong that all the others have left their spouse at home? whats the fuss that people are not too comfortable with the spouse? whats the big deal that we had to change the dates to suit you because your spouse was not able to make it those proposed before?

i'm being too critical, really...

i was being mean too.
a friend asked us out over the weekend. his reason was that his wife was not in town so he wanted to get us for a night's out. my message to him was that i was not able to make it. but if he wanted another night's out, he should asked me when his wife is in town.

does it really mean that a marriage means that you are totally tied down? it means that you have to do everything, and i mean everything, with your spouse in tow? would you, as a guy, follow your wife on a shopping trip with her and 5 others of her female friends? would you as a girl who hates soccer, follow your husband to a pub to join him watching soccer on the big screen while drinking beer, eating junk food and swearing at every mistake, with 10 other of his friends?

complains and criticize, complains and criticize. don't you just feel that i'm just plain mean?

critically yours...
